TRY FLYING IN WALES
By Keith Negal
Of those microlight pilots who come from Europe to fly in the United Kingdom, few make it as far as Wales.
It has long sandy beaches and pretty towns.
If the weather is on your side there is little to beat it.
Last summer I flew from Welshpool aerodrome, through central Wales along the valley of the River Dovey, past Aberdovey to Talybont airstrip.
There I landed, called a taxi and went into Tywyn for lunch.
After lunch I flew to Caernarfon, past Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, and back around the north coast of Wales.
There are many places to camp or B&B. If you are thinking of taking this trip, please call me.
